These are simple rib hats with a pattern of stitches that grows with each hat size. There are more knit stitches in each group as the hat size goes up.

Sized for Toddler (17” circumference, 7.5” depth, age 1-3), Children (19” circumference, 9” depth, age 3-10), Women (20” circumference, 10.75” depth, age 10+), and Men (22” circumference, 12” depth, age 10+). The rib pattern means the hat can be worn comfortably at and size below the maximum circumference shown (and possibly slightly larger, as well). The brim can be turned up to fit shallower depth.

These hats each take less than one skein of Red Heart yarn, and there are optional instructions to create a contrast-colored brim included.
